BURCHAM, Robert M., (``Rob''), 29, of Hendersonville, Tenn., died Tuesday, October 24, 1995. He was the Director of Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab at Physiotherapy Associates, Athletic Trainer at Beech High School, and instructor at Volunteer State Community College. He is survived by his grandfather, Ralph Burcham Sr.; father, Ralph Burcham Jr., Welch, W.Va.; mother, Betty Karides, Roanoke, ; stepmother, Nancy Burcham; stepfather, Arthur Karides; sisters, Debbi Bean, Salem, and Nancy Pirtle, Goodlettsville, Tenn.; brothers-in-law, William Bean Jr. and Steve Pirtle; nephews, Chad and Cory Bean, Noah Pirtle; fiancee, Vicki Porter, Portland, Tenn.; and a multitude of friends. Memorial and funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 28, at 11a.m. at the Long Hollow Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Nichols officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn East Cemetery in Hendersonville, Tenn. DILLON, Redia William, 78, of Rocky Mount, died Thursday, October 25, 1995 at his home. Born March 3, 1917, he was the son of the late Esbon and Gracie Bowles Dillon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tolitha Dillon. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Sontag, and retired from DuPont after 34 years service. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Page Shepherd, Rocky Mount; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Jim and Pate Cobbs, Wirtz; four grandchildren, Mitch Cobbs and Debbie Dudley, both of Rocky Mount, Cathy Cobbs and Richard Shepherd, both of Roanoke; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Curtis Scott and Elizabeth and John Cooper, all of Rocky Mount; a special friend, Essie Doss, Rocky Mount. DOSS, Bertha L. 88, of Roanoke, died Thursday, October 26, 1995 in a local hospital. She was the widow of Kenneth Doss. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Virginia Doss, Charlotte, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor David R. DUDLEY, Larry D. Sr., 86, of Roanoke, died Thursday morning, October 26, 1995, in a local nursing home. He was a retired owner of Dudley's Gulf Service Station, a member of Oakland Baptist Church, and an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Evelyn Bennett Dudley, Roanoke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry D. Jr. and Linda Dudley, Roanoke, Gary B. and Cathy Dudley, Fincastle; seven grandchildren, Danny, Kathy, Jim, Michael, Amy, Sara, and Matthew; brother and sister-in-law, J. DUNCAN, Esther B., 87, of Allisonia, passed away Thursday, October 26, 1995 in Pulaski Community Hospital. Mrs. Duncan was a retired missionary and school teacher. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Sandra Duncan, Hillsville, Thomas Neil and Judith E. Duncan, Allisonia; two brothers, James Buckwalter, Visalia, Calif., Robert Buckwalter, Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Melicent Saylor, LaVerne, Calif.; one stepsister, Leoda Buckwalter, Elizabethtown, Pa.; one half-brother, Joe Smith, Messiah Village, Pa.; one granddaughter, Alicia D. Shuman; two grandsons, Andrew Neil and Samuel Duncan; special cousin, Ruby Stieffel. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 1995, at Farris Mines Christian Church, with the Rev. STEWART, Imogene Roberts, 68, of Roanoke County, died Thursday, October 26, 1995. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church ,and was a former owner of Lakeside Amusement Park in Salem. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack G. Stewart Jr., her parents, H. L. and Mary Roberts, and brothers, H. Elbyrne Roberts, Linwood Roberts, and Harold Roberts. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Stewart, Leslie Stewart, both of Roanoke, and Deane Henson, North Carolina; grandson, James P. Stewart, Roanoke; sister, Betty R. Stanley, Roanoke; brothers, Beverly Roberts and Roger Roberts, both of Salem. VALLE, Mary Elizabeth Overstreet, 60, ofMontvale, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 1995. Funeral services 12 p.m. Friday, October 27, 1995, the Lotz Vinton Chapel.

WARNER, Evelyn Oakey, 86, until recently of 722 Longview Ave., Bluefield, W.Va., died Wednesday, October 25, 1995 in a Bluefield, Va. health care center. Born in Roanoke County, she was a daughter of the late Henry A. and Anna Campbell Oakey. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church of Bluefield, and was a retired director of John M. Oakey, Inc. Funeral Service of Roanoke. She graduated from Salem High School, Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, and received a degree in Dietetics from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, where she was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority and the American Association of University Women. Following graduation, she was a dietitian for St. Luke's Hospital in New York City, then worked for Appalachian Power Company in Roanoke. She was a member of the ladies Guild of Christ Episcopal Church, Bluefield Garden Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Bluefield Country Club, and was for many years active in community service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gibson Warner. Surviving are two sons, Robert Oakey Warner, Aiken, S.C., Stephen Gibson Warner, Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Miriam Oakey Wagner, Easton, Md.; grandchildren, Linda Warner and Cathy Warner, Aiken, S.C., Martelle Warner and Elysia Warner, Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley. WHITMER, Thomas E. Jr.74, of Vinton died Thursday, October 26, 1995 at a local hospital. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a long time member of Vinton Baptist church and retired from Singer Furniture Company. Surviving are his wife Louise Coleman Whitmer; sons Donald Edward Whitmer of Richmond and Kevin Randall Whitmer of Vinton; brothers and sister-in-laws Charles and Anne Whitmer of Lynchburg, Rex and Linda Whitmer of Danville, sisters Helen Pancoast and Evelyn Wheeler both of Cincinnati, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Vinton Baptist Church 11AM Saturday, October 28, 1995 with the Rev. Dr. William L. Ross and Rev. William E. Hungate officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Principle Debt Retirement of Vinton Baptist church.
