A Christiansburg police lieutenant, Marrs had $3,994 left after spending $6,253 as of Oct. 25. Olinger, a Virginia Tech police investigative sergeant, reported $2,283 left after spending $11,762.
Independent candidate O.P. Ramsey, a Sheriff's Office captain, showed $147 left and $6,603 spent. Another independent, Garnett Adkins, a Radford deputy sheriff, had $248 left after spending $2,937.
In other Montgomery County races:
Commonwealth's Attorney Phil Keith and challenger Joey Showalter were nearly even in campaign balances, though the incumbent Democrat has far outspent the Republican challenger. Showalter reported $2,306 left after spending $13,616. Keith had $2,414 left after spending $18,086.
Democratic commissioner of revenue candidate Nancy Miller had more left to spend than Republican candidate Helen St. Clair. Miller reported $1,463 in the bank after spending $5,390. Miller amended her Sept. 15 statement Monday to correct an earlier subtraction error. St. Clair reported $61 left after spending $5,847.
In Board of Supervisors District B, Supervisor Nick Rush reported a balance of $151 after spending $1,244. Challenger Robert Goncz reported $84 left after spending $1,176.
In District E, Supervisor Ira Long reported $385 remaining after spending $995. Challenger Richard Gordon reported a zero balance for his campaign.
In District G, Supervisor Joe Gorman reported $237 left after spending $1,448. Challenger Curtis Cox reported $36 left after spending $306.
