DUBLIN - Eric Adamson, district rotary governor, will attend the 75th anniversary meeting of the Pulaski Rotary Club. It starts with a social hour at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Edwards Hall at New River Community College.
Adamson is a lawyer in Front Royal, where he has been a Rotarian for 20 years.
The celebration represents some 4,000 Pulaski club meetings dating to the club's charter in 1920. Another guest Monday will be Paul White Harris, an administrator at Radford University and incoming Rotary lieutenant governor for clubs in Radford, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Pulaski and Montgomery County.
Lung support group
SALEM - Apria Healthcare, Lewis-Gale Hospital and the American Lung Association are holding the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Monthly Support Group on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Lewis-Gale's cafeteria. DUBLIN - A rally for Norman Dowdy, candidate for Pulaski County Sheriff, will be held Sunday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. in the Travel Inn's Kitt's Family Restaurant.
Nascar memorabilia
DUBLIN - Volvo-GM Heavy Truck Corp. and the local United Auto Workers will host a Nascar memorabilia show today, 6-9 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
The show will be at the UAW meeting hall on Cougar Trail Road. Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for children. Proceeds will go to Joy Ranch Children's Home in Hillsville.
