JOHN E. BERGMAN has been named vice president of marketing and sales. He comes to Des Champs from Dunham-Bush Inc. in Harrisonburg, where he was vice president of marketing, sales and service.
EDWARD J. BANKO has been named manager of product development at the company. Banko, who has been with Des Champ for six years, most recently was manager of engineering. He is succeeded by RICHARD A. KING, who comes from Alcatel Data Networks in Reston, where he was on the technical staff.
COLLEGES
Three new members have been elected to Emory & Henry College's board of visitors: DR. EUGENE M. BANE JR., a Salem optometrist; KENNETH K. BONDURANT, Radford real estate executive; and WILLIAM D. SMITH, president of the Bank of Marion. Elected to the executive committee are ELBERT H. WAMPLER of Bassett, president; DR. EDMOND L. ALLEY of Kingsport, Tenn., vice president; T. FINANCIAL SERVICES
DONNA ROYE has been appointed branch manager of Atlanta-based Household Finance Corp.'s Roanoke office.
SIDNE CAMPBELL has joined Benefit Plan Administrators in Roanoke as vice president of marketing and managed care programs. Campbell, who has more than 20 years of experience in employee benefit planning and administration, previously worked for Carilion Health System where she was director of sales.
LAW
WILLIAM H. LINDSEY has opened a law office in Salem. Lindsey has practiced in the Roanoke Valley since 1982, most recently as a principal in the firm of DLC Trial Lawyers. He will continue to concentrate his practice in the areas of divorce and family, personal injury and wrongful death, criminal defense and business and commercial law.
FRANK W. ROGERS III, a partner with the Roanoke firm of Mundy, Rogers & Frith, has been appointed chairman of the Virginia State Bar's committee on lawyer referral. He also has been elected to the Roanoke Bar Association's board of directors.
The Roanoke Valley Legal Secretaries Association has named JOSEPH L. ANTHONY the 1995 Boss of the Year. JOAN DIVERS was elected Member of the Year. Both Anthony and Divers are employed with Stott & Anthony law firm in Roanoke.

VADA THOMPSON has been named manager of the bridal operations at Amrhein's Brides, Formals and Fine Jewelry's new Ogden Road store in Roanoke. Thompson previously worked at Patina boutique as a fashion consultant. Also, PAULA MILLER, formerly of Travelmasters, has been appointed a consultant for Martin Travel located at the store.
