MARCHETTI IN TENNIS FINAL

Virginia Tech's Aaron Marchetti reached the singles finals of the Rolex Intercollegiate Tennis Championships by winning two matches on Sunday at Princeton, N.J.

Marchetti, who was unseeded, beat Harvard's Josh Hausman 6-3, 6-3, then defeated Todd Meringoff 6-3, 6-4 in a semifinal. He plays Princeton's Reed Cordish today at 10 a.m. Tech's Oliver Mayo, the second seed, lost in the quarterfinals.

Mayo and Marchetti advanced to today's doubles semifinals by beating Princeton's Gog Boonswang and Dave Murphy.
