DARTMOUTH POET TO READ AT COLLEGE

Poet Cleopatra Mathis will read from her own work tonight at Roanoke College.

Mathis, director of creative writing at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., is the author of four poetry books: ``Aerial View of Louisiana,'' ``The Bottom Land,'' ``The Center for Cold Weather,'' and the forthcoming ``Guardian.''

The reading will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Glass Lounge of Sutton Student Center. A reception and book signing will follow the reading.
