PLAY TO BE PRESENTED

"Children of a Lesser God" will be presented by the Cleveland Signstage Theatre on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Radford University's Preston Auditorium.

The play is about the struggles of a deaf woman and her hearing husband to understand one another. Written by Mark Medoff, the play won the 1980 Tony awards for best play, best actor and best actress.

This production will be performed simultaneously in American Sign Language and spoken English by the troupe's cast of hearing and deaf actors.

Cleveland Signstage Theatre was founded in 1975 by one deaf and one hearing actor. In addition to its regular stage programming, Signstage involves itself in education and outreach performances and workshops throughout Ohio. The group reaches more than 45,000 people each year.

Admission is free with university identification and $5 for the public. For tickets, call the Radford's Heth Student Center at 831-5420.
