County Volunteer Fire Chief Mike Burnett said the cabin was fully engulfed in flames by the time the fire crew arrived about 1:20. It was not until 6:45 that the crew returned to the station.
Burnett said the cause of the fire is unknown, and no one was at the cabin when firefighters arrived. The owner was out of town when the fire broke out. Burnett would not release the owner's name.
What was in the cabin and the estimated value were not available. Burnett said only that a shed with tools was saved.
