Salem High School will host the Blue Ridge District Theater Festival on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the school's auditorium.
Each of the six schools in the district will present a play for three judges, and two will be chosen to advance to the regional competition.
Salem will perform "Eleemosynary" by Lee Blessing. The other schools in the district are Northside, William Byrd, Allegheny, Lord Botetourt and Rockbridge County.

Wright lecture
The curator of the ``Frank Lloyd Wright: Architect for America'' exhibit currently on display at the Art Museum of Western Virginia, will present a gallery talk on the show Saturday at 1 p.m.
Thomas Knoebels, a collector of Wright morabilia, will discuss the major themes in the exhibit in the 45-minute talk in the second floor gallery.
