Buch-Canfield

Virginia Ann Canfield and James David Buch were united in marriage on Saturday, October 14, 1995 at a nuptial mass celebrated at St. Elias Catholic Church in Roanoke, Virginia. The celebrant of the mass was Rev. M. Morton Biber of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lexington, Virginia, with Rev. William McDonald, brother-in-law of the bride, of Dickson, Tennessee, offering reflections on marriage during the ceremony. The second gospel reading was done by Michael Canfield and the Prayers of the Faithful were read by Robert Canfield, both brothers of the bride.

Amy Osso of Fairfax, Virginia served as maid of honor, and Patricia Gazewood, Maureen Rowe, Mary Day and Carolyn McDonald, all sisters of the bride, served as bridesmaids. Julie Mastrandrea-Ratlif, friend of the bride, was the director of the wedding.

John Buch, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were John Buch, brother of the groom, Nick Cindrich, Gary Cindrich, Sean Connors, all life-long friends of the groom. Timothy J. Rowe, II, nephew of the bride, from Roanoke, Virginia was the ring bearer.

Virginia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Canfield of Roanoke. The bride is a 1985 graduate of Roanoke Catholic High School, and received her BA degree in Finance from James Madison University in 1989. She is employed at Aetna Insurance Co. in Fairfax, Va.

Jim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Buch of Pittsburgh, PA. He received his BA degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University in 1988, and is employed in Washington, D.C. by a defense contractor|

A wedding reception was held at the Airport Holiday Inn in Roanoke following the wedding ceremony. The ornament topping the wedding cake was the same one that topped the wedding cake of the bride's parents thirty-seven years ago. Lourice Thomas, friend of the bride, acted as coordinator of the wedding reception.

The bridal couple will reside in Kingstowne, Virginia after a honeymoon trip to the Cayman Islands.

Carpin-Coyne

Mary Alice Coyne and Frank Dominic Carpin were united in marriage on November 18, 1995 in Richmond, Va. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Charles D. Aiken. The reception was held at Tukahoe Woman's Club.

Margaret Coyne Shively served as her sister's matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Martha Coyne Brammer, sister of the bride; and Bridget Hughes Buel, friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Erin Michelle Brammer, and the flowergirl was Katelyn Justine Br ammer, nieces of the bride. Frank R. Carpin served as his son's best man. The ushers were James Michael Coyne, brother of the bride; F. Dominic Carpin, and John Pritchett Carpin, sons of the groom. William Ryan Shively, nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer. The guestbook attendant was Peggie A. Foster, aunt of the bride.

The bride wore a full length gown of white silk faced organza. The bodice was enhanced with a pleated band of ivory silk shantung that closed in the back with a dior bow with streamers that flowed into her train. Her veil was a pleated band of matching shantung, bridal illusion edged in satin ribbon. Her bridesmaids wore deep ivory chiffon gowns that featured Charmeuse empire bodices and tea length skirts. The bride carried her Mother's Prayer Book with streamers of flowing mini-gardenias and ivy.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Coyne, Jr. of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, and East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn. She is employed by Paine Webber, Inc.

The groom is the son of Frank R. Carpin of Richmond, Va., and the late Lucy Carpin. He is a graduate of The University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. and is also employed by Paine Webber, Inc.

The newlyweds will live in Richmond, Va.

Dixon-Delp

Sarah Lynn Delp and Stacy Steven Dixon were united in marriage on Saturday, November 18, at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Rural Retreat. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Larry Bollinger of Rural Retreat.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hale Delp of Rural Retreat. The groom is the son of Mr. Sidney Steven Dixon of Marion, and Mrs. Eva McNew Dixon of Marion.

Debra Delp Terry of Wytheville, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Kimberly Dawn Akers of Bothell, Washington, cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sheila Diane Dixon of Colonial Heights, sister of the groom; Ann Delp Caudill of Rural Retreat, Amy Jean Delp of Charleston, S.C., and Bobbi Jo Delp of Myrtle Beach, S.C., all nieces of the bride. Cara Leigh Delp of Rural Retreat, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

The father of the groom served his son as best man. Groomsmen were David Tyler Delp of Rural Retreat, Kenneth Glenn Delp of Roanoke, Richard Philip Delp of Rural Retreat, brothers of the bride; Barry Alan Harrington of Marion, and Michael Todd McMillan of Marion. The ringbearer was Richard Chad Delp of Rural Retreat, nephew of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Rural Retreat High School and Virginia Tech. She is employed by Burlington Menswear.

The groom is a graduate of Marion Senior High School and Wytheville Community College. He is employed by the Clar ksville Police Department.

Hawkins-Zeakes

Nichole Denise Zeakes and Kyle David Hawkins were united in marriage October 7, 1995 by the Rev. Joel Wright at the Presbyterian Church of Radford. The reception was held at the Norwood Room following the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Sam Zeakes of Radford. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Kenneth Hawkins, formerly of Forrest, Va., now residing in Roanoke.

The bride was attended by Annette Vest, maid of honor and Valentina Hawkins, matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Stacy Zeakes, Carla Zeakes and Kimberly Chesson. The groom's father, H. Kenneth Hawkins, and brother, Kenneth Hawkins, served as best men. Groomsmen were Kenneth Jones, Jason Zeakes, Chris Reilly, and Michael Chesson. Jillian Chesson and Tara Hawkins were flower girls and Erik Amy was ringbearer.

Following a honeymoon to Grand Cayman Island the couple will reside in Lynchburg.

Henderson-Gay

Teresa Lynn Gay & William Gregory Henderson were married November 18, 1995 at Lynn Haven Baptist Church. The Rev. William Anthony Layman was the officiating clergyman. The reception was held at the church.|

The matron of honor was Mrs. Lisa Mardian, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Tammy Webb, sister of the bride, Mrs. Laurie Rowland, Mrs. Michelle Lanier, cousins of the bride, and Ms. Cathy Barger, friend of the bride. The flowergirl was Ms. Megan Rowland, cousin of the bride.

The best man was Mr. Charles Fizer, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Mr. David Obenchain, Mr. Michael Norville, Mr. Christopher Fuqua and Mr. J. R. Edwards, all friends of the groom. The ringbearer was Mr. Morgan Jones, cousin of the groom. The guest book attendants were Mrs. Wanda Clower, sister of the groom and Ms. Lauren Webb, niece of the bride. Servers were Ms. Mitzi Huff, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Valerie Archual, friend of the bride. Mrs. Jean Huff, aunt of the bride, was the director. The soloist was Ms. Joy Wright and the pianist was Mrs. Jeanette Body, friends of the bride and groom.

The bride wore a straight, white satin sheath accented by schiffli lace, with a V neckline and back. The long, Gibson sleeves and fitted bodice features schiffli lace, re-embroidered pearls and sequins. The back had a double satin bow at the waist with a detachable, extended chapel length train with schiffli lace and appliques. She wore a lace, sequin and pearl crown with two tears of illusion. She carried a bouquet of two dozen white roses wrapped in white satin ribbon and secured with purple satin ribbons at the base.

Bridal showers were given by Mrs. Louise Powers and Mrs. Jean Huff, aunts of the bride, and Mrs. Wanda Clower, sister of the groom and Mrs. Lee Anne Jones, cousin of the groom. A lingerie shower was given by Mrs. Mary Darnell, aunt of the groom, at The Hotel Roanoke.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Gay of Goodview. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Kathy Huff of Vinton and Mr. & Mrs. Delbert Saylor of White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Alice D. McKee of Hardy. She is a graduate of Staunton River High School and a 1994 graduate of Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by Automated Mailing Systems.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Fizer of Vinton. He is the grandson of Mrs. Lelia Darnell and the late Walter J. Darnell Sr. of Vinton. He is a graduate of William Byrd High School and a 1994 graduate of Ferrum College. He is employed by Advance Auto. After a honeymoon trip to Florida, the couple will reside in their Vinton home.

Hinchee-Pittman

Rebecca Karen Pittman and Jeffrey Cole Hinchee were married October 7, 1995 in Highland United Methodist Church. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Matt Bates. The reception was held at the Family Enrichment Center of Highland United Methodist.

The maid of honor was Ms. Leslie Pittman, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Ms. Legina Kiziah, Ms. Linda Malachowski, Ms. Susan Nicolson, and Ms. Kristi Pernell, all friends. Flowergirls were Miss Lauren Hinchee and Miss Courtney Hinchee, nieces of the bridegroom.

The best man was Mr. Bill Hinchee, father of the groom. The ushers were Mr. David Hinchee, brother of the groom, Mr. Bryan Pittman, brother of the bride, Mr. Anthony Pittman, brother of the bride, Mr. Mike Dupuis, Mr. Jeff Oginz, and Mr. Mark Thornhill, all friends o f the groom. The guestbook was attended by Ms. Gail Davis.

The bride wore a long full gown of natural silk with a sweetheart off the shoulder neckline edged in pearls, long fitted sleeves, and a basque waist. The bodice was adorned with designs of alencon bridal lace, seed pearls, and sequins. The gown had a detachable cathedral length train. The matching headpiece was a fingertip veil of diamond illusion held by a tiara of pearls and crystals accented in the back with a beaded motiff. She carried a cascade bouquet of rubrum lilies, fire and ice roses, and flamingo alstromeria with a touch of stephanotis trailing with ivy and bears grass.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pittman of Hickory, N.C. She is a graduate of South Caldwell High School and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and is employed by Rehability Hand Center.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Hinchee of Roanoke, is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Old Dominion University, and is employed by Medical & Scientific Instruments.

The newlyweds will live in Huntersville, N.C. after the wedding trip to Cape Cod.

Kelley-Tucker

Ann Christine ``Christy'' Tucker and Richard Lee ``Rick'' Kelley were married at 6:00 p.m. on October 21, 1995 in Raleigh Court United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Va. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Bill Ramey.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Kenneth M. Tucker of Roanoke, Va. The maid of honor was Beth Dyke, friend of the bride. Dawn Chase, friend, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Cheryl Keen, future sister-in-law; Peggie Powell, Yvette Ewers, Katie Gobble, Crystal Jenkins, Katrina Ellis and Chris Arthur, all friends of the bride. The bridesmaids dresses were purple Velveteen and fell to the floor in length. They were open backed and held together with a pewter broach. All bridesmaid's bouquets consisted of ivory roses with deep purple roses and ivy accents. The flowergirls were Chelsea and Holly Kelley, nieces of the groom. The flowergirls dresses were made by Ms. Claude Justis and were floor length purple velveteen.

Richard Kelley served as his son's best man. The honorary best man was Huck Ewers, friend. The groomsmen were Tim Kelley, brother of the groom; Craig Humphreys, cousin of the bride; Norman Johnson, Steve Azar, Steve Woolwine, Mike Quarles and John Chelena, friends. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with deep purple paisley ties and cumberbuns. The ringbeare rs were Grant Humphreys, cousin of the bride; and Paul William Farris, friend. Steve Azar and Steve Woolwine were the candlelighters.

The guestbook attendants were Buck and Bridgett Ellis and the wedding directors were Rhonda Williams and Becky Strickler, friends.

The bride's gown was an ivory silk dress designed by Mori Lee. The entire bodice and sleeves consisted of pearls and the dress and train were made of ivory silk. The back fell into a ``V'' shape and was enhanced by an ivory silk bow. The train was trimmed in ivory pearls and lace and was 8 feet in length. The veil was a headpiece made of silk, ivory pearls and roses with a detachable veil for the reception. The bride's bouquet consisted of ivory silk roses with ivy accents.

The bride's mother, Mrs. J. N. Tucker of Greeneville, Tenn., wore a tea length maroon dress with a sequined top and chiffon skirt.

The groom's mother, Mrs. Richard Kelley of Roanoke, Va., wore a tea length maroon dress consisting of lace and patterned material.

The groom's grandmother, Mrs. Claude Justis of Roanoke Va., wore a champagne pink chiffon tea length dress.

The reception followed the wedding ceremony at the Roanoke Marriott with heavy hors d'oeuvres, fine music and candlelight ambiance.

The couple's first dance was to Van Morrison's ``Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?'' and was followed by a dance of the bride and her brother to ``Unforgettable''. The entire bridal party joined in to the song ``That's What Friends Are For''.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. James N. Tucker of Greeneville, Tenn., and the late Mr. James N. Tucker. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Willie Tucker of Greeneville, Tenn. and the late Clarence Tucker, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ardell Williams of Maryville, Tenn. She is a graduate of ETSU, where she received her degree in Marketing and a graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where she received her MBA. She is employed by Carlton Cards of Cleveland, Ohio.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kelley of Roanoke, Va. He is the grandson of Mildred Justis of Roanoke, Va., and the late Claude Justis and the late Mr. and Mrs. James S. Kelley, Sr. of Roanoke, Va. He attended Roanoke College and is employed in the telecommunications department of Appalachian Power Co. in Roanoke, Va.

Friends and relatives attending came from Tennessee, Virginia, Illinoi s, Georgia, Alaska, Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, New York, Maryland, Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke, Va., and have returned from their honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

McCabe-Boyd

Carla Lynn Boyd and Matthew Weeks McCabe were married on Saturday, November 18, 1995 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Thaxton, Va., with Reverend G. Wayne Warren officiating. A reception followed at Ivy Pillars Farm.

The bride was escorted by her father, Charles Boyd. Maid of honor was Christy Boyd, sister of the bride. Bridal attendants were Kimberly Jones, Susan Miller, Ilona Scaggs, friends of the bride; and Kimberly Grassano, sister of the groom. Kelsey Wright, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Jane Claire Bailey, cousin of the groom, was guest book attendant. James McCabe, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were William Laycock, Richard Fallaw, Jonathan Britton, friends of the groom, and James Grassano, brother-in-law of the groom. Jonathan Wright, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Everette Boyd., Jr. of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Northside High School and VWC College. She is the owner of Killer Graphics in Salem, Va.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Weeks McCabe of Thaxton, Va. He is a graduate of Liberty High School and The Citadel. He is employed by Bedford Weaving Inc. in Bedford, Va.

The couple will make their home in Thaxton, Va.

O'Conner-Stearns

Jessica Louise Stearns and Boyd Wilson O'Conner were married November 10, 1995 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Clovis, Calif. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Shelia Stearns of Tollhouse, Calif. She is a 1994 graduate of Sierra High. The groom is the son of Johnny and Martha O'Conner of Rocky Mount, Va. He is a 1994 graduate of Franklin County High. The newlyweds reside in Fresno, Calif.

Sprouse-Dunahoo

Linda Gaynelle Dunahoo and Russell Dawson Sprous e were married on September 16, 1995 in First Evangelical Methodist Church. The Rev. B'Hymer was the officiating clergyman.

Angie Dunahoo, daughter of the bride, was the maid of honor. Jeff Sprouse, son of the groom, served as the best man.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Cleo Martin of Catawba, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Gladys Manning of Salem, and W.W. Sprouse of Columbus, Ohio.
