SGT. DALLAS K. NEEL, a 1988 graduate of Glenvar High School, recently was promoted to his present rank while serving with the 4th Marine Division in Lynchburg.

SGT. WILLIAM B. WARNER, son of Jerry W. and Barbara J. Warner of Vinton, recently was promoted to his present rank while serving with the 4th Marine Division in Lynchburg.

LANCE CPL. CHRISTOPHER M. OWENS, son of James M. and Judy A. Owens of Roanoke, has reported for duty at Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan. He is a 1992 graduate of Cave Spring High School.

PFC. SCOTT A. MARKHAM, son of Fred D. and Linda A. Markham of Roanoke, has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S.C. He is a 1995 graduate of William Fleming High School.

JAMES A. DONATO, son of Dr. Antonio T. and Marilyn R. Donato of Roanoke, has completed training at the Army ROTC Camp Challenge at Fort Knox, Ky. He is a student at Randolph-Macon College and a 1993 graduate of North Cross High School.

NAVY CHIEF PETTY OFFICER KEVIN L. REYNOLD, son of Joyce R. Shell of Salem, was promoted to his present rank while serving aboard the USS Mount Vernon in San Diego, Calif. Reynold is a 1982 graduate of Salem High School.
