SERVICES
Our Saviour Lutheran Church on Cambria Street in Christiansburg conducts a new informal evening worship at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning this Wednesday. The 45-minute service is for people who work on weekends, community newcomers, and people looking for a midweek worship opportunity. 382-2223.
Christiansburg's Holy Spirit Catholic Church will celebrate Mass today at 5 p.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church on Cambria Street.
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the New River Valley, on Gladewood Road in Blacksburg, will have a Thanksgiving potluck brunch at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. At 8:45 a.m., Judy Snoke will review the book ``A River Runs Through It'' during a round-table discussion. 552-2717.
Blacksburg's Metaphysical Chapel on Church and Lee streets will have Sharing Sunday at 7 p.m. Sunday. 953-4848.
Fred Austin, Wytheville District superintendent of the United Methodist Church, will speak at Rockford United Methodist Church in Radford at 9:45 a.m. Sunday and at 11 at Morgans Chapel Church in New River. A reception for Austin, former pastor of the churches, will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Rockford church.
Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church will sponsor evangelists Jimmy and Carolyn Hillard on Tuesday through Sunday. Weeknight services will be at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
JOYFUL NOISES
The Farley Brothers, Friends in Jesus and the Gospel Strings will appear at a benefit concert for Stanley Early, who is fighting cancer, tonight at 7 at Faith Baptist Church on West Main Street in Salem. Carl Ratcliffe, 382-4654.

Newport First Christian Center's annual Christmas bazaar will be Dec. 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crafts, decorations, food, lunch and more will be available. 544-7264.
The Women's Ministries of Christiansburg Pentecostal Holiness Church on Phlegar Street will have a fall bazaar today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. On sale will be handmade craft items, hot dogs and barbecue sandwiches, and baked goods.

Christian Community Outreach in Radford has a food outreach on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union Hall in Fairlawn. Food boxes will be available first-come, first-served to families and others who meet USDA income criteria. 639-5686.
