Brooks-Strutt

Michelle Strutt and Bryan Brooks were married November 11 at Thrashe r Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Wm. Anthony Layman and Rev. George Wesky Jones officiated. A reception followed at the Jefferson Center.

The bride is a daughter of Gale Strutt and the late Clyde Strutt of Roanoke.

Tracie Patterson of Knoxville was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Sarah Strutt, sister of bride, Marian Frazier, cousin of bride, and Robyn Brooks, sister-in-law and life-long friend of the bride. Rebekah Anne Strutt, sister of bride, was the ringbearer and Ashlyn Haynes was the flowergirl. Matt Cox of Memphis served as best man. Groomsmen were Bill Brooks, father of groom, Gary Brooks and Rusty Brooks, brothers of the groom. Ruth Frazier was the director of the wedding, and the guestbook was attended by Debbie and John Sklar.

The bride is a graduate of Northside High School and the University of Tennessee. She is a certified Athletic Trainer. The groom is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and VMI. He is a civil engineer.

The newlyweds reside in Richmond, Va.

\ Cromwell-Wray

Lori Ann Wray and Matthew John Cromwell were married September 16, 1995 in Red Hill Church of God. The maid of honor was Robin Bethel, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were April Heptinstall, friend of the bride, Anna Marie Dunman, cousin of the bride, and Becky Fritz, friend of the bride. Flowergirl was Brittany Crowder, niece of the groom.

The best man was John Cromwell, father of the groom. Ushers were Roben Johnson, Henry Crouch, and Mike Brown, all friends of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Hope Ward.

The bride is a daughter of Larry D. Wray of Boones Mill and Sandra Lovern of Roanoke. Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. David Wray and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dunman. She is employed by Plastics One.

The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Cromwell of Roanoke. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. John Cromwell. He is employed by Kroger Warehouse.

The newlyweds will live in Boones Mill after the wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tn.

Dudley-Campbell

EMORY - Julia Marie Campbell and Haden Thurston Dudley III were married Saturday, November 25, 1995, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the Emory and Henry Memorial Chapel, Emory, Virginia. The Rev. Ralph M. Kidd of Bristol officiated. The bride is the daughter of Judge and Mrs. J. Colin Campbell of Independence, Virginia. The groom is the son of Mrs. Anna K. Reid and Mr. Haden T. Dudley, Jr., both of Eagle Rock, Virginia.

The bride wore a floor length gown of candlelight silk adorned with jeweled embroidery and a cathedral train. She carried a cascading bouquet of dendrobium orchid sprays, cymbidiums and bridal white roses. The bridesmaids wore floor length emerald green gowns and carried mini-cascades of red roses and white dendrobium orchid sprays.

Miss Catherine J. Campbell of Abingdon was her sister's maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Martha F. Haertig of Charlottesville, Francie C. Lowe of Crawfordville, Florida, and Amanda H. Lynn of Hampton. Meghan A. Spellman of Blue Ridge, niece of the groom, and Kayse L. Carter of Goodview, goddaughter of the groom, were junior bridesmaids. The flower girl was Kathryn D. Bondurant of Bent Mountain. Kathryn wore an ivory silk dress embroidered with seed pearls. She carried a basket of white rose petals.

Haden T. Dudley, Jr., father of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Thomas J. Bondurant, Jr., of Bent Mountain, Charles B. Carter and James G. Silvey, both of Goodview, John C. Campbell of Independence, brother of the bride, Harry T. Morris of Kingsport, Tennessee, and David R. Schoonover of Moneta. The wedding director was Mrs. Charlotte Sutherland of Abingdon. Heather, Sarah and Nolynn Sutherland of Independence attended the guest register. Their brothers, Brent and Grant Sutherland, were in charge of the programs.

Music for the ceremony was provided by harpist William Lovelace, and the Highlands Chamber Trio composed of flutist Schery Collins, celloist Jerosha Davis, and violinist Jane MacMorran. Vocalist was Judy Marshall. Schery Collins was also the organist.

A rehearsal buffet was hosted by the groom's mother, Mrs. Anna K. Reid, and Mrs. Mary Myers, aunt of the groom, at the Inn on Town Creek in Abingdon. The reception was held at Greenway Haven in Abingdon. After a honeymoon cruise around the British V irgin Island, the couple will reside in Goodview, Virginia.

The bride is a graduate of Independence High School, the University of Virginia, and the Walter R. George School of Law, Mercer University, Macon, Georgia. She is employed by the United States Attorney's Office in Roanoke as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Virginia.

The groom is a graduate of Fork Union Military Academy and Emory and Henry College, with studies in investments at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a Vice President of Investments with J. C. Bradford & Company in Roanoke, Virginia.

\ Finney-Mason

Abigail Curry Mason and Harold Oliver Finney were married October 7, 1995 in The McDonougl School Chapel, with the Rev. John Powell officiating. The reception was held at the bride's mother's home.

The maid of honor was Colleen Sheehy, friend from college. The matron of honor was Hally Mason Stief, sister. Bridesmaid were Karen Whitmore, Alyson Mason Cohen, Lauren Burd, Marianne Francis, Jennifer Laird, Debbie Blum, Kari Parsons, Lauren Wilson, and Kristen Hayes.

The best man was Reuben Cumbee Finney, father. The ushers were David Beil, Jeff Brown, Clark Sahlie, Mark Richardson, Jim Johnson, Randy Darden, Mark Wilbanks, Daniel Lindsey, and Price Hightower.

The bride is the daughter of Patrice Chester Burd of Baltimore, Md., and John Vernon Mason of Youngstown, N.Y. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and is employed by Scheriny Plough Corporation as a Pharmaceutical Sale Rep.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Cumbee Finney of Birmingham, Ala. He is a graduate of Aubuen University and is employed by First Union Corporation as Vice President.

The newlyweds are living in Charlotte, N.C., after their wedding trip to The Cloister, Sea Island, Ga.

\ Goldstein-Jacobs

Tamara Dabney Jacobs and Jonathan Mark Goldstein were united in marriage on Saturday, October 7, 1995. The ceremony took place at 8 p.m. at the Buckhead Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Atlanta.

Mrs. Traci Jahn of Athens, served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Painter, Rachel Taub, Carolyn Flyer, Jaime Flyer, and Adrienne Goldstein.

The groom's brothers, Jeff Goldstein and Andy Goldstein, served as best men. The groomsmen were Jamey Loftin, Greg Chambers, John Bostwick, John Ruth, Jonathan Schloss, Michael Flyer, and Alex Jacobs.

Tammy is the daughter of Julie Gurtner of Roanoke, and Sherwin Jacobs of Harrisonburg.

After returning from a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple lives in Athens, Georgia, where the bride is local sales manager for WNGM-TV34, and the groom is owner and manager of America Marketing Group.

\ Handy-Dalton

Jennifer Ann Dalton and William Charles Handy, Jr. were married September 30, 1995 at Waverly Place Baptist Church. Ronald Tabor, pastor of First Christian Church in Havre-de-Grace, Md., and brother-in-law of the bride, performed the double ring ceremony.

Pamela Tabor was her sister's matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Sandy Jarels of Roanoke, and Debra Berryman of South Hill. The best man was Kenny Van Klei, brother-in-law of the groom. The groomsmen were Frank Halsey of West Jefferson, N.C., and Phil Everett of Abingdon, Md. The flowergirl was Janine Siatkowski of Abingdon, Md. Jeremy Tabor, nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer. Zachary Tabor, nephew of the bride, served as honorary usher and escorted his grandmother during the ceremony.

Candlelighters were Richard DeLong, cousin of the bride, and Sherry Van Klei, sister of the groom. A solo was performed by Frank Halsey. The guestbook was attended by Janet Pruitt of Havre-de-Grace, Md.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Mary Ann Dalton of Roanoke, and the granddaughter of the late Grover and Ruth DeLong and Walter and Claudia Dalton. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Longwood College, and is employed by Caring Hands, Inc. The groom is the son of William and Mary Handy of Edgewood, Md. He is employed by Kunkel Service Company in Bel Air, Md.

After a honeymoon in Florida, the couple is living in Havre-de-Grace, Md.

\ Harless-Vance

Kristie Elizabeth Vance and David Scott Harless were married November 25, 1995, in Central United Methodist Church, Radford, with Rev. Sam Altizer officiating. The reception was held in The Norwood Room. The maid of honor was Ms. Tanya Smith, friend of bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Darla Baldwin, friend of bride, Ms. Amanda Harless and Ms. Ashley Harless sisters of groom, Mrs. Jody Vance, sister-in-law. Flower girls were Miss Brittany Hutchinson, cousin of bride, and Miss Morgan Watson, cousin of groom. Mr. David Harless, father of groom, served as best man. Ushers were Mr. Wayne Brubaker, Mr. David Richardson, Mr. John Richardson, friends, and Mr. Chad Vance, brother of bride. The guestbook was attended by Ms. Khristanne Clayton. The bride wore a princess style gown of white italian satin accented with venise lace with off the shoulder, sweetheart neckline, long venise lace sleeves, double satin bow with streamers at back waist, full floor length skirt and chapel length train with venise lace appliques. She wore a white lace back piece accented with pearls and rhinestones with two tiers of pencil edged illusion. She carried a cascade of lilies, roses and ivy. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Charlotte Edwards of Glen Allen and Mr. William (Pete) Vance of Richlands. She graduated from Rich lands High School, Richlands, and Radford University. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. David Harless of Radford. He graduated from Radford High School and Roanoke College. He is employed by AT&T GIS. The newlyweds will live in Charlottesville, Va., after a wedding trip to Walt Disney World.

\ Jacobs-Chapman

Tonia Yvette Chapman and John Lewis Jacobs, III were married on November 11, 1995, 3:00 p.m. at High Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold B. Hayes, Jr., Bowie, Md., the Rev. Kellie V. Hayes, Bowie, Md., and the Rev. Ivory Morton, Roanoke, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Gloria (Jack) Wilson and Mr. James R. (Phyllis) Chapman, Sr.; the granddaughter of Mrs. Lillian Wingfield, Mrs. Elizabeth Baxter, and the late Mrs. Macy Chapman.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John (Laura) Jacobs, II, and the grandson of Mrs. Vonnie M. Ware, Mrs. Josephine Willis and the late Mrs. Mary Smith.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father.

The maid of honor was Ms. Kristie Riddick. Matron of honor was Mrs. Jan Willoughby. Bridesmaids were Ms. Nicole Bennett, Ms. Kelli Coleman, Ms. Marcie Gray, Ms. Mia Jacobs, Ms. Latonya Jones, Ms. Denise Mitchell, Ms. Stacy Noble, and Ms. Pamela PettyJohn.

The best men were Mr. Vaughan Fleming and Mr. Greg Chambers. Groomsmen were Mr. Donald Bellamy, Mr. Jacques Chapman, Mr. James Chapman, Jr., Mr. Lawrence Daniels, Mr. Lynford Morton, Mr. Brian Register, Mr. Eric Register, and Mr. Kevin Trussell.

Little Misses Esshaunda' Chapman, Ashley Wilson and Shaiyeva Wilson were flower girls. Master Brandon Jones and Master Rodney Madden were rose bearers; Master Trevor Wilson was the ring bearer.

Ushers were Mr. Andrew Hyde, Mr. Douglas Thomas, Mr. Charles Ware, Mr. James Ware, and Mr. Schuessler Ware.

Hostesses were Ms. Michelle Fleming, Ms. Tonya Gardner, Mrs. Elizabeth Gunter, Ms. Kera Madden, Mrs. Sherise Michaels, Ms. Tasha Rodgers, Mrs. Linda Ware, Ms. Lucinda Ware, and Ms. Jeneen White.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman and Angeline L. Jones served as wedding consultants.

The bride is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Virginia State University. She plans to pursue her masters of divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. in the spring. She is employed by Southwestern Bell/Cellular One as a credit and activations specialist.

The groom is a graduate of Litchfield High School and Talladega College. He is currently pursuing a masters of divinity at Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Capitol Heights, Md. He is employed by the Defense Fuel Supply Center as a chemist.

The newlyweds will reside in Oxon Hill, Md., after a wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas.

\ Morgan-Tyson

Audrey Laura Tyson and Brian Keith Morgan were united in marriage November 25, 1995, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Waxhaw, N.C. The Reverend Harry Hawk officiated in the 4 p.m. ceremony. A church reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dwight Tyson of Monroe, N.C., and Mrs. Karen Godfrey Barr of Raleigh, N.C. She is a graduate of Clemson University and is employed by Kemper Insurance, Greenville, S.C. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dennis Morgan of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Clemson University and is employed by Marsh & McLennan, Inc., Greenville, S.C.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Meredith Tyson, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Lauran Livingston of Smyrna, Ga.; Dawn Satterfield of Greenville, S.C.; Amy Scott of Greenwood, S.C., and Jennifer Yowell of Orlando, Fl.

The best man was John D. Morgan, father of the groom. The groomsmen were J. W. Baker, III, cousin of the groom, of Roanoke; Michael David Price of Roanoke; Garth W. Houston of Silver Springs, Md.; Carl King Dowdey, III of Homewood, Al., and Ian McDade of N.Y., N.Y. Catherine Baker Flora, cousin of the groom, attended the guest book.

Following a wedding trip to the Grand Caymans, the couple will reside in Greenville, S.C.

\ Muse-Millehan

Jennifer Millehan and Scott Muse were married on October 28, 1995, in Centreville United Methodist Church with Pastor Dr. Albert Sikkelee officiating. The reception was held at the Washington Dulles Hilton Hotel in Herndon, Va. The bridesmaids were Jennifer Lutz and Christi Schiano, friends of the bride, Ann Martin and Tammy Sellers, sisters of the groom. The ushers included Mike Smith, Edward Kiker, friends of the groom, Jeff Sellers and Jon Woodward, brothers of the groom. Laurie George attended the guestbook. The bride wore a silk, off the shoulder gown in candlelight. She carried a traditional bouquet with white lilies, white alstroemeria, burgundy sweetheart roses, white roses, freesia and lavender aster. The bride is the daughter of Rita Sanderson of McLean, Va., and Joseph L. Millehan, Jr., of Penhook Va. She graduated from James Madison University and is employed by the Fairfax County Department of Family Services. The groom is the son of Linda Woodward of Culpeper, Va., and Dwight Muse of Falls Church, Va. He is a graduate of Culpeper County High School and is employed by Dwight Muse Mechanical Co., Inc. The newlyweds will live in Clifton, Virginia.

\ Stewart-Parker

Jennifer Sue Parker Stewart and Kevin Dale Stewart reaffirmed their wedding vows on Saturday, November 25, 1995 at the Fairview United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Virginia. Pastor Robert Chapman performed the ceremony. A reception given by the bride's parents, Jim and Nancy Parker, was held at The Thunderbird Club.

Joining in the celebration were Mrs. Christine Johnson, of Ruckersville, Va., as matron of honor. Misses Kristina McMillian, Amber Parker, Sunnie Parker, Haley Parker, and Sally Parker, all cousins of Jenny, and residents of the Roanoke area, were bridesmaids, and Miss Alex Johnson of Ruckersville, Va., was flowergirl.

Bill Underwood of Charlottesville, was best man. Serving as ushers were Kevin McMillian of Roanoke, cousin of Jenny; Paul Scherf and Daniel Auderer, both of Ft. Myer, Va.

Escorted by her father, Jenny wore a formal gown of satin with a cathedral train accented with pearls and sequins.

Jenny attended Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, and graduated from Lake Braddock High School, Burke, Virginia. She is also a recent graduate of George Mason University, Fairfax, Va., with a B.S. degree in Psychology. Kevin is a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and currently holds the position of Recruiter in Slidell, La., where he and Jenny currently make their home. Kevin also served as a member of the distinguished ``Old Guard'' at Ft. Myer, Va. for the last five years.

\ Stewart-Pugh

Gary Randolph Stewart and Lisa Faye Pugh were united in marriage on September 9, 1995. The wedding took place at the Wedding Chapel by t he Sea in Myrtle Beach, S. C.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Ruby Pugh of Alum Ridge, Va. The groom is the son of Bonnie Lawson of Christiansburg, Va. The newlyweds will make their home in Christiansburg, Va.
