MUSICAL OPENS AT MILL MOUNTAIN

``She Loves Me,'' a musical about two workers in a Budapest parfumerie who unwittingly make passionate overtures to each other through the mail, opens this week at Mill Mountain Theatre.

Boasting three performers with Broadway credits, the production runs throughout December.

It is the story of a pair of perfume factory workers who bicker all day, but who write passionate letters to secret pen pals at night. Of course, they are shocked to find each has been writing to the other.

``She Loves Me'' was first a play, then a movie called ``The Shop Around the Corner'' starring Jimmy Stewart, and finally a Broadway musical in the 1960s. It has been revived on Broadway twice, most recently in 1993.

The show previews tonight and Thursday night, but tonight's performance is sold out. It officially opens on Friday.
