They are: Suellen Adams, Frances Covington, Virgie Underwood, Sunday Callegari, Yen Hoai Lieu, Sharon Franklin, Herawati Lunardi, William Deitz, Dana Podell, Lori Grady and Byron Coffey.
CAMERON TREY SHARTZER and CARL D. CRESS, both of Roanoke, recently were inducted into the Radford University chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for business majors.
AMY HARRISON, daughter of Anne Harrison of Salem and Joseph Harrison of Elliston, recently was named a presidential scholar at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. Harrison, a 1995 graduate of Salem High School, was selected on the basis of leadership and academic merit. She will receive an annual scholarship ranging between $2,000 and $4,000.
STUART G. HANNAH, son of Delphie C. Hannah of Roanoke, will be inducted into the academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa at the College of William and Mary. He is a biology major with a 3.99 grade point average.
ROANOKE COLLEGE has announced the names of Roanoke Valley students named to the 1996 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges." They are: Matthew Bockner, Catherine Ferguson, Stacey Handy, Anthony Hopper, Patrick McCarthy and Sheryl McCoy, all of Roanoke; Kathleen Roberts of Salem; Jennifer Mullin of Vinton; Nancy Beaman, formerly of Vinton; Jennifer Hoback of Hollins; Karen St.Clair of New Castle; and Mary Whitlock of Troutville.

CHRISSONIA WINFREE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tellis LaMar of Roanoke, was recently elected chairwoman of the Campus Activities Council at Salem College in Winston-Salem, N.C. The council is responsible for sponsoring social events at the college.
LAUREN WILLSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Willson of Roanoke, was recently inducted into Phi Eta Sigma national honor society at Washington and Lee University, where she is a sophomore. The society honors students who complete their freshman year with a 3.5 grade-point average.
ASHLEY ELIZABETH BELL, daughter of Houston Bell of Salem and Elaine Waddell of Roanoke, has been named to the 1996 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges." Bell is a senior at Washington and Lee University.
COURTNEY ALLISON TUCKER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Tucker of Roanoke, has been named to the 1996 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges." Tucker is a senior at Washington and Lee University.
KELLY DIERKER of Roanoke has been named a advancement ambassador through the end of the academic year at Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, N.C. Dierker will assist with the planning of special events, board meetings and fund-raising efforts at the college. She is a business major and plays on the school basketball team.
