Falls birth
Savannah Kate Falls was born November 1, 1995, at 9:31 a.m., at Louise Obici Hospital in Suffolk. She weighed 8 lbs. 7 ozs., and was 20 1/2 inches long. Her parents are Rick and Paige Fisher Falls of Zuni. She has one sister, Hope Alexandra, 2 1/2 years old. Proud grandparents are Duane and Carolyn Fisher of Fincastle, Clara Falls of Chesapeake, and the late Stephen Todd Falls. Great-grandparents are Mary Peery of Troutville, Dorothy Falls of Lithia, and Mildred Fisher of Hayward, Wisconsin. Special thanks to Dr. William Adkins for bringing both daughters safely into the world.
Frith birth
Chuck and Leann Frith joyfully announce the birth of their beautiful son, Gregory Alan Frith.
Gregory was born Friday, October 13, 1995 at 12:07 a.m. at Community Hospital. He weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz., and was 191/2 inches long.
The proud grandparents are Roy and Carol Lemons and Buford and Mary Frith, all of Rocky Mount. The great-grandparents include Elder and Mrs. L.J. Brammer of Martinsville and Mrs. Delores Campbell of Rocky Mount.
We would like to especially thank the attending physician, Dr. Leigh Stockstill and Community OB/GYN for helping us through a very trying and difficult pregnancy - we are grateful! Also, special thanks to L and D nurse, ``Becky'', for helping us through the delivery and thanks to all the nurses of the 7th floor! We also want to thank our families for all the love and support and especially the Lord who has truly blessed us
Grimm birth
Emerald Grimm would like to announce the birth of her new baby sister, Tyler Morgan Grimm, born on November 17, 1995 at 3:30 p.m., weighing 8 lbs. 91/4 oz. and 21 inches long. Parents are Ed and Holly Grimm. Maternal grandparents are Deanna Adams of Roanoke, and Paul Adams of Texas. Paternal grandparents are Donald and Barbara Grimm of New Castle. The godparents are Davis L. ``Butch'' and Janice Rakes. The attending physician was Dr. Cindy Phillips.
Knight birth
Christopher William Knight was born November 15, 1995, at 12:20 p.m. at Lewis-Gale Hospital. He weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs., and was 201/2 inches long. His parents are Todd and Lisa Knight. He has a 2 year old sister, Karly Elise Knight. His grandparents are Linwood and Eva Fralin, and Wayne and Connie Knight. The attending physician was Dr. George Maxymiv. Also a special thanks to labor and delivery nurses, Sandy and Molly.
Patterson birth
Dane and Marcia Patterson are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Haley Elizabeth, on October 13, 1995 at 10:06 a.m. She weighed 8 lbs., 9 1/4 ozs., and was 21 inches long. Haley's proud big brother, Logan Dane, is 3 1/2 years old. Grandparents are Bette Saunders of Vinton, Nell Patterson of Vinton, and Roger and Mary Saunders of Sanford, N.C. Great-grandparents are Woodrow and Nancy Wilkerson of Roanoke, Robert and Alline McCluer of Roanoke, and Dot Saunders of Vinton. Many thanks to Drs. McClennan, Garcia and Farber and their staff, and to the nurses at Community Hospital.
Slaughter birth
Brian and Kim Slaughter are proud to announce the birth of their son, Brandon Kent Slaughter, on October 19, 1995, at 1:53 a.m. at Community Hospital. He weighted 6 lbs. 2 ozs., and was 20 inches long. Grandparents are Carlos and Brenda Alderman of Vinton, Nancy A. Slaughter and the late Preston B. Slaughter, Jr. of Roanoke. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Greg Hardee and Dr. Lynn Keene for their expert care and support, as well as my O.B. nurses, Loretta, Shelby and Lisa for their loving care during labor. We would also like to especially thank Donna Hardee, Sandy, Linda and Leslie from Dr. Hardee's office.
Cudney birth
Cory Skye Cudney, weighing 9 lbs. 111/4 ozs and 221/2 inches long, was born September 18, 1995 at 6:13 am at Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg, Va. Parents are Harley and Dana Cudney. He has a 2 yr. old sister, Emma Rose Cudney. Grandparents are Carol Noblit of Newport, Va. Bob & Edith Noblit of Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., Harley Cudney, Sr. of Panama City, Fla. and the late Leah Cudney. Great grandmother is Avis Waldecker of Plymouth, Mi. The birth attendant was Phyllis Turk, CNM.
Utt birth
Chelsea Diane Utt was born November 19, 1995 at 8:30 p.m. at Community Hospital. She weighed 8 lbs. 3 ozs., and was 21 inches long. Her parents are Jason and Angie Utt. Grandparents are Rose M. Yopp; Walter and Marie Wilson.
Wright birth
Lenny and Donna Wright are proud to announce the birth of Zachary Daniel.
Zach was born at Lewis-Gale Hospital on October 28, 1995 at 11:52 PM. He weighed 8 lbs. 2 1/2 ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long.
His maternal grandparents are Donnie and Fran Hatcher. His paternal grandparents are Leonard and the late Irene Wright.
We would like to thank God for blessing us with our precious son. We love you Zach!
