Virginia Tech's football team won't be the only Hokie sports team spending New Year's Eve in New Orleans.
As a result of Tech's bid to meet Texas in the Sugar Bowl, Hokies athletic director Dave Braine said Sunday he hopes to work out the final details on moving Hokies' Dec.31 home basketball against Wright State to New Orleans.
``We should be able to announce something in a couple of days,'' Braine said. ``Right now, everything looks good.'
Braine said the game would be played at 1 p.m. in New Orleans' Lakefront Arena.
