WILLIAM SCOTT THOMASSON of Roanoke and JOHN LEE REYNOLDS IV of Salem, both Hampden-Sydney students, were selected to appear in the 1996 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Thomasson is the son of Judy N. Ross; Reynolds is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Reynolds III.
ROBIN M. KYLE and CHARLITA R. KASEY, both of Roanoke, were awarded Bridging the Gap scholarships at Virginia Western Community College. Kyle is a certified nursing assistant and is in her second year of the radiography program. Kasey is a first-year science major and hopes to become a physical therapist.
The two $500 scholarships were initiated by Lawrence H. Hamlar and are given annually to African-American students at Virginia Western.
