A Bedford County woman who was a professional driver for 19 years died Tuesday night while driving a tractor trailer in Pike County, Ky. for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
Alice Faye Gordon, 46, was driving west on U.S. 460 at about 8:35 p.m. when she apparently lost control of her vehicle, according to a Kentucky State Police report.
Gordon's tractor trailer collided with an eastbound car and overturned in the roadway. She died at the scene, the report said.
The driver of the eastbound car was treated and released from Pikeville Methodist Hospital.
Both Gordon and the car's driver were wearing seat belts.
