Radford University's Board of Visitors meets today to consider tenure issues, as well as how to replace departing vice president for academic affairs Charles Owens and Betsy Little, the executive assistant to the president.
Board members will review a draft proposal for the university's post-tenure review policy, which the state Council of Higher Education has asked all universities to consider.
They'll also discuss the cases of marketing professors L. Keith Larimore and Robert L. Taylor, who were denied tenure by the university, said Executive Director of Public Information Deborah Brown.
The meeting starts at 3 p.m. in the board room of the new Martin Hall, the addition to Preston Hall. In case of snow, call 831-5000 to ensure the meeting still will be held, Brown said.
The Saturday meeting dovetails with the university's annual winter graduation ceremonies, where 685 students are expected to receive degrees. That ceremony is set for 2 p.m. Sunday in the Dedmon Center.
