ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Registration of new cars in the Roanoke Valley are down 10.5 percent so far this year from the first 11 months of last year. The Virginia Automobile Dealers Association reported 7,695 cars registered through November against 8,602 last year.

Dealers registered 672 new cars in November - 320 in Roanoke, 278 in Roanoke County and 74 in Salem - up 1.8 percent from 660 in October but down 12.6 percent from 769 in November 1994, the Richmond-based association said.
