Barber, a junior from Cave Spring High School in Roanoke, rushed for a school-record 1,397 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Cavaliers. He was named first-team All-ACC and led the conference in all-purpose yardage with 1,696.
Barber was one of eight finalists for the Doak Walker Award, which recognizes the nation's top running back, and was an academic all-district selection.
