AT THE FINE ARTS CENTER FOR THE NEW RIVER VALLEY

LENGTH: Short : 23 lines
ILLUSTRATION: PHOTO: "365 - A Year of Art Making" is the unique exhibit

showing this month at the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley

in Pulaski. Done by Barbara Norman-Lashley, the exhibit features 365

individual masonite panels on which the artist recorded each day of

the year 1993. The scenes reflect Norman-Lashley's travels to Paris,

Russia and New Mexico, as well as the adventures, joys, sorrows and

daily routines of the year. "I went to Paris in February, Russia in

May and New Mexico in July and August, so some works are like travel

journals," she said. "The pieces reflect things that happened

throughout the year, somewhat like a diary." Pictured here is the

artist's work for the month of March.
