Mr. and Mrs. Jack E. C regger celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary today, December 24th, 1995, with a Christmas Eve Luncheon, hosted by their children, at Hotel Roanoke, in the Virginia Room. The Cregger's were married on December 24, 1945 in Garden City Baptist Church. They have lived in Daleville, Va. for 24 years. Their children are Don and Mary Cregger of Vinton; Linda and Dale Parrish of Richmond; Shirley Kaylor of Roanoke; and Diane and Eddie Brown of Bedford and Tennessee. They have 5 grandchildren, Angie, Beth, Nathan, Stephen and Patrick.
Mrs. Cregger, the former Violet Lorena Duke, is retired from J.C. Penny's. She is a member of Eastern Star and Roanoke Women of the Moose. Mr. Cregger retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad, and was in the Army Air Corp in World War II. He is a member of the Melrose Masonic Lodge and the Roanoke Moose Lodge. Harmon anniversary
Carson D. and Kate Harmon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary December 16, 1995 at the Salem Civic Center, hosted by their family. They were married December 21, 1945 in Washington, D.C., at St. Matthew Lutheran Church by Dr. Bernard J. Holm. She's the former Kate E. Lineberry of Galax, Va. He is retired from G.E., and she is employed by Woods, Rogers & Hazelgrove, P.L.C.
