MIDSHIPMAN DAVID L. BARIL, son of Albert M. and Pat Baril of Roanoke, recently received an appointment to the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He is a 1994 graduate of Cave Spring High School.
SENIOR AIRMAN MONICA R. BARNETT, daughter of Linda M. and Terry W. Barnett of Roanoke, was promoted to her present rank while serving as an administrative specialist at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. She is a 1989 graduate of Northside High School and a 1991 graduate of Virginia Western Community College.
AIRMAN CHARLES A. DAVIS, son of Leo A. Davis of Roanoke, has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
