The 14-year-old victim of an apparent accidental shooting Sunday afternoon in a Wytheville apartment has been identified as Robert Steven Fasano.
Police said three juveniles were playing in the apartment of Susan M. Lefler of 205 E. Ridge St. Lefler's 14-year-old son got out a .22-caliber semiautomatic rifle, and it went off, striking Fasano in the arm and chest. He was taken to Wythe County Community Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
No charges had been filed Tuesday.
