NAVY ENSIGN THOMAS W. ERWIN, son of William S. Erwin Jr. of Roanoke, recently completed Officer Indoctrination School.

SGT. WILLIAM B. WARNER, son of Jerry W. and Barbara J. Warner of Vinton, recently was promoted to his present rank while serving with the 4th Marine Division in Lynchburg.

PFC. SCOTT A. MARKHAM, son of Fred D. and Linda A. Markham of Roanoke, has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S.C. He is a 1995 graduate of William Fleming High School.

ARMY RESERVE PVT. ARIC A. MAYO, son of Joyce L. Taylor of Roanoke, has completed basic training at Fort Sill, Okla.
