Hotel, restaurant courses planned

WYTHEVILLE - Three hotel and restaurant management courses will be offered at Wytheville Community College in the spring semester, starting this week.

The courses are hotel restaurant organization and management, to be taught on Monday nights; executive bookkeeping on Tuesday nights, and hotel front office operations on Wednesday nights.

Each weekly three-credit course meets from 7 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. Tuition is $144.45. The courses are recommended for those already employed in the hotel industry or those considering this career.

Because course materials were developed by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Motel Association, the courses can be applied to eventual industry certification as well as college credit.
