ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Roanoke Valley registrations of new cars fell 10.5 percent last year. The Virginia Automobile Dealers Association reported that 8,200 cars were registered here last year, compared with 9,161 in 1994. Title registration is considered a valid indicator of auto and truck sales.

The report said 505 cars were registered in December, down 9.6 percent from 559 in December 1994 and off 24.8 percent from 672 in November.
