"There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved."
- George Sand
Wouldn't it be grand if someone could just boil down wisdom about love into sensible, short phrases? What if, instead of "Hot Lips" or "Kiss Me," words like "Hold Hands Daily" or "Be Forgiving" came on those tiny candy hearts stamped with messages for Valentine's Day?
If you could create a box of Valentine's candies with your own advice about love indelibly stamped in sugar, what would you say?
We'd love for seniors to send in their words of wisdom. We'll print the best nuggets of advice and the author's name in the "For Seniors" column on Feb. 14.
Please keep advice short and sweet (no more than one or two sentences) but send as many thoughts as you like.
Send original entries to Tracy Gallimore at The Roanoke Times, P.O. Box 540, Christiansburg, Va. 24073; send faxes to 381-1656. Entries can be submitted via e-mail to Currentbev.net. Please include your name, age, address and phone number.
Your comments, ideas and suggestions for this column are always welcomed.
