The Montgomery County Democratic Committee re-elected Lindsay West to another two-year term as the party's county chairman Tuesday.
West has been chairman since 1988, when she left the Montgomery Board of Supervisors after 12 years of service.
West re-appointed Steve Cochran as vice-chairman, Lee Johnston as treasurer and Gloria "Sandy" Roberts as secretary.
Montgomery Democrats hold a mass meeting every two years to choose a new county committee representing Montgomery's seven election districts. The committee then elects a chairman, who in turn appoints the other officers.
Also Tuesday, the Democratic Committee set dates for several upcoming events: March 23 for a spring dinner featuring U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon; and April 15 for a caucus to choose delegates to the June 7-8 state convention in Hampton, where a U.S. Senate candidate will be selected.
