WOMAN DIES IN TWO-CAR ACCIDENT

A 56-year-old woman died Thursday afternoon at the scene of a two-car accident on U.S. 460 in Bedford County.

Barbara Ann Hill of Huddleston intended to cross the westbound lanes of 460 and end up driving east, according to state police. But a truck struck her car as she pulled from Virginia 811 onto the highway.

No charges were filed.
