AMANDA SNAPP of Roanoke has been elected national vice chairperson for 1995-1996 for Ad 2, a division of the American Advertising Federation, which is made up of advertising and marketing executives under the age of 32.
Snapp is an administrative assistant and marketing specialist at the Greater Roanoke Transit Co., which administers the Valley Metro bus system in the Roanoke Valley.
She has been national secretary of Ad 2 and president, vice president, programs and membership chairman of the Roanoke chapter of Ad 2. She also has been the Addy award coordinator for Roanoke's Ad Federation.
AUTOMOTIVE
LARRY HINTON has joined Roanoke Wreck Repair as general manager. Hinton has 22 years of experience in collision repair, 15 of those in management positions. He most recently worked for Pinkerton Chevrolet in Salem for three years. Hinton also has extensive training and experience in handling and processing insurance claims.
BANKING
At the Bank of Botetourt, G. LYN HAYTH III of Cloverdale has been promoted to executive vice president; VICKY M. WHEELER of Buchanan has been named vice president-branch administration; ANDREW T. SHOTWELL of Cloverdale has been promoted to vice president of operations; MICHELLE A. ALEXANDER of Buchanan has been named assistant vice president and is the bank's marketing and Community Reinvestment Act officer; GARLAND L. HUMPHRIES of the Mill Creek section of the county has joined the bank as assistant vice president and is its loan review and administration officer; and GEORGE E. HONTS IV of Fincastle has been promoted to branch officer at the Troutville office.

COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education in Washington, D.C., has named SUZANNE MINK vice president for advancement. Mink worked in several development positions before her appointment to CASE, including director of the annual fund at Hollins College. CASE is a nonprofit education association whose institutional membership consists of independent schools, colleges and universities.
CONSULTING
SUE GOTWALT has been named president of AdvantEdge Services, a new business in Roanoke founded by Gotwalt offering marketing consultation, advertising production and sales and marketing training. Gotwalt previously worked for Boone & Co. for 18 years, where she was an award-winning sales associate. While at Boone, she created its relocation department in which she assisted corporate moves to the Roanoke Valley.
JIM LINSENMEYER has formed Management Consulting Services Inc. in Roanoke, a business management consulting company. Linsenmeyer has more than 15 years of management experience in sales and distribution organizations. The new company will provide strategic market and sales planning, functional analysis of operations and administration, expense analysis, account management and sales training.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
GUY P. CHANCE, first vice president and director of national research at Richmond-based Scott & Stringfellow Inc., has been named to the new position of managing director of market strategy. Scott & Stringfellow has an office in Roanoke.
HEALTH CARE
Lewis-Gale Medical Center has announced the promotion of BRENDA BENGTSON to director of New Century Home Care, a full-service agency providing nursing care, home-care aides, and physical, occupational and speech therapies. Bengtson, who has been at Lewis-Gale since 1994, is responsible for management, operation and delivery of services throughout the Roanoke Valley, Franklin, Craig, Bedford and Floyd counties and parts of Montgomery County.
Also at Lewis-Gale Medical Center, WILLIAM MARK RADER has been appointed assistant vice president of support services. Rader, who has four years of administrative experience in health care, is responsible for the center's pharmacy, engineering, safety, security, biomedical and environmental services departments.
Professional Therapies of Roanoke has expanded its professional staff by hiring DARYL BRANTLEY ALLDER as an occupational therapy assistant; RONALD G. GREER, physical/occupational therapist; MICHELLE P. MENEFEE, speech therapist; and BETH A. REYNOLDS, occupational therapist. The company is a certified rehabilitation agency with offices in Roanoke, Vinton and Daleville.
INSURANCE
JEFFREY D. WILSON has been appointed vice president of Wilson Insurance and Financial Services Inc. in Roanoke. Before joining the company in 1992, Wilson was assistant vice president of Dominion Trust Co. for six years. In his new position, he specializes in individual and business estate and financial planning.
MORTGAGE BANKING
DEBBIE MONTGOMERY, TIMOTHY HASH and DONNA BROWN have joined Crestar Mortgage Corp. in Roanoke as loan originators. Montgomery has 21 years of experience in mortgage banking and received the ``Affiliate of the Year'' award in 1989 from the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors. Hash has 10 years of experience in real estate. Brown has 14 years of mortgage experience.
TOM PUCKETT has been appointed mortgage loan officer of Salem Financial. Puckett, who has more than 30 years of banking and finance experience, will serve mortgage customers in Southwest Virginia.

TRANSPORTATION
MARK F. COURTNEY has been named deputy executive director of the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission. He has been director of planning and market development for the commission since 1991. In his new position, he will continue with his present responsibilities for directing planning, marketing, air service development, public relations and government affairs at the airport, as well as assume additional managerial responsibilities.
