S.E. ROANOKE WOMAN RAPED BY 2 MEN

A Southeast Roanoke woman was raped Sunday night by two men who sneaked into her bedroom after visiting friends of hers, police said.

According to police, the victim's two female friends left her home Sunday evening to attend a party, but two men the friends had met earlier that evening stayed behind. The men entered the victim's room while she was in bed, and one held her while the other raped her. The 32-year-old woman was able to free herself, and both men left the room, police said.

Meanwhile, her two friends returned, unable to find the party. They chased the men out of the house. The two are believed to have fled in a dark green Dodge.

In an incident that occurred Friday night, an Elliston man was stabbed during a street fight involving several people. Police found David C. Green, 34, kneeling on the ground on 12th Street Southeast shortly before midnight, bleeding profusely from head wounds.

Police believe his wounds stemmed from a fight involving several people in the neighborhood. A broken pool cue was nearby, and Elliston told police he remembered being hit with it. He did not remember being cut. Police said his ear lobes had been cut up, apparently with a lock-blade knife that was found nearby.
