          road might have been taken aback to see John Jefferies of Radford 
          preparing to fire a Revolutionary War-era cannon their way Thursday 
          afternoon - but it was only a demonstration for pupils at 
          Christiansburg's Falling Branch Elementary School. Jefferies and 
          other members of Crockett's Battalion, a local group of re-enactors,
          were helping to enliven the pupils' study of the American 
          Revolution. color.
