HERITAGE HALL RESIDENT GRATEFU|

I wanted to write to tell you and your readers how grateful I am to be a resident of Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blacksburg. I consider it my home. I was so impressed during the crisis of our recent snowstorm (the worst I've ever seen) at how well everyone pulled together to keep things going "as usual."

I so much appreciate all those in administration, and the aides, nurses, housekeepers and cooks, many of whom leave their babies at home with sitters or in nurseries, so that they can care for us. And they do it all with a cheerful disposition. I am 97 years old and have lived here for seven years. I have loved every minute of it.

Thanks from letters carriers

We, the rural letter carriers of Christiansburg, would like to give a heartfelt "thank you" to the folks who, during the recent meterological unpleasantness, gave the time and effort to clear the snow, enabling us to serve their boxes without leaving our vehicle.

Many times when a person does something, they wonder if it has made a difference or been appreciated. Let there be no question or doubt: you have made a tremendous difference and are greatly appreciated.

John Lloyd
