UVA LAW STAFF GIVES $1 MILLION

University of Virginia Law School faculty and staff have donated more than $1 million to the school's $750 million capital campaign.

The law school hopes to raise $75 million. Law school officials said 89 faculty and staff members have contributed $1.06 million.

``They believe in the law school,'' Dean Robert E. Scott said. ``It sounds hokey, but it's true.'' Officials said it was the largest collective faculty donation in school history.
