EX-ALLEN CABINET MEMBER TO JOIN REGENT FACULTY

Kay Coles James, former state secretary of health and human resources, will take a job at Pat Robertson's Regent University, the school disclosed Thursday.

Robertson, the university's founder and chancellor, and university President Terry Lindvall plan to announce the hiring of James as dean of the Robertson School of Government at a news conference today.

``This is really exciting,'' Lindvall said. ``We are thrilled.''

James will take the position at the graduate-level school effective March 1, Lindvall said.

She was a speaker at September's ``Road to Victory'' conference of the Christian Coalition, a grass-roots lobbying organization of religious conservatives founded by Robertson.
