Valentine's Day luncheon planned

PULASKI - The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley will host a Valentine's Day luncheon at noon Feb. 14 at the center annex at 44 Fourth St.

Tables, food and entertainment will be ready for those wanting to treat a loved one to lunch, express thanks or appreciation to employees, or just renew friendships.

Lunch is $8. Reservations should be made by Tuesday, the day before the lunch, by calling 980-7363.

Community sale donations sought

PULASKI - Donations of goods for the sixth annual Community Yard and Bake Sale, a Pulaski activity aimed at raising funds for a variety of organizations, are now being taken in the Maple Shade Mall across from Jackson Park.

Furniture, books, household items, crafts, clothes in good condition and other sale goods will be accepted from 8 a.m. until noon every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in the former People's Drug next to Wade's Supermarket.

The sale itself is scheduled for from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 2-4, with the proceeds being distributed this year to the Pulaski Free Clinic, Youth Emergency Shelter, New River Valley Habitat for Humanity, Emergency Needs Task Force, and SHARE Christmas Basket Fund.

Baked items will be accepted on the mornings of sales days.
