GOLD AWARD WINNERS

Jennifer Clem, Robin Reed, Anna Savage and Catherine Taylor, all members of Girl Scout Troop 6 sponsored by Villa Heights Baptist Church, recently received the Girl Scout Gold Award. The girls worked together organizing and presenting a "Learn to Camp" seminar for younger Scouts. They taught packing, fire safety, outdoor safety and meal-planning skills and took the Scouts on an overnight camping trip and hike. Clem, daughter of Janice and Terrence Clem, and Taylor, daughter of Janice and Robert Taylor, are seniors at William Byrd High School. Reed, daughter of Ray and Jean Reed, is a junior at William Fleming High School. Savage, daughter of the Rev. Carl and Marge Savage, is a freshman at Emory & Henry College.
