Dear Neighbors:
The 1995 holiday season is over, and no good deed should go undone. It is time that we take our hats off to J93 disc jockey "Slam" Duncan for his tireless efforts to make sure no child went unnoticed or unappreciated.
Many radio stations in our area were quick to set up "Toys for Tots" drive campaigns. Duncan, however, with his special project, captivated us with his exuberance and filled us with all the hope that Christmas should entail. His concerns were genuine for the children of the Roanoke Valley, and it made us all feel proud to have such a tremendous turnout for an important time of the year for our little ones.
It is wonderful people like him who can bring out the best in all of us, and I look forward to his 1996 Toys For Tots campaign.
