CRAIG SCHOOL BOARD SETS SPECIAL MEETING

The Craig County School Board will have a special meeting Tuesday night at 7 to consider next year's school budget and the graduation date for Craig County High School. The meeting will be held in the high school auditorium.

A board spokesman said the meeting has been called for only these two items. Superintendent Dallas Helems' status is not on the agenda. The board voted 3-2 this week to ask him to resign because of his handling of a fuel oil leak. Helems said he has no plan to quit.
