Chang-Rae Lee will give a reading from his fiction in Antrim Chapel at Roanoke College on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
He was born in Seoul, South Korea, and received his B.A. from Yale and a master of fine arts from the University of Oregon, where he currently teaches creative writing.
Lee's first novel, "Native Speaker," published in 1995, is recognized as being an important contribution to Asian-American literature. It is reviewed above by Jessie Graybill.
The reading is open to the public at no charge.
