Marcus Camby had 26 points and a career-high 15 rebounds on Thursday night to help top-ranked Massachusetts rally from a 10-point, second-half deficit and beat La Salle 70-53 in Amherst, Mass.
Donta Bright scored 19 and Dana Dingle had 10 rebounds for the Minutemen (24-0, 12-0 Atlantic 10). Romaine Haywood scored 13 to lead La Salle (5-19, 2-9).
The victory preserves Saturday's showdown with No.10 Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, and clinched the Eastern Division title in the Atlantic 10, earning UMass the No.1 seed in the league's postseason tournament.
The Explorers used a 20-2 run - holding the Minutemen to one basket in the last 10:27 of the first half - to take a 28-20 lead at the break. Everett Catlin made a jumper to open the second half and give La Salle a 10-point lead.
The Minutemen ran off the next 11 points - seven by Bright - to take a 31-30 lead.
It was 40-36 La Salle when the Minutemen went on a 13-0 run to take the lead for good.

No.8 Wake Forest 85, Maryland 78: In College Park, Md., Tim Duncan scored a career-high 33 points on 12-for-14 shooting as the Deacons tightened their grip on first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Tony Rutland scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half to help Wake Forest (17-3, 9-2 ACC) increase its ACC lead over Georgia Tech.
Johnny Rhodes scored 27 for the Terrapins (12-9, 5-6).
Liberty 67, UNC Greensboro 47: In Lynchburg, Peter Aluma scored 20 points and blocked five shots as the Flames (13-10, 7-4) beat the Spartans in a Big South Conference game.
UNC Greensboro (14-8, 8-3) made two of 14 shots from beyond the 3-point arc.
Duquesne 92, Ala.-Birmingham 72: In Pittsburgh, Kevin Price scored 21 points and junior Shelby Roberson had a career-best 18 as the Dukes (8-12) won for only the fourth time in 13 games. The Blazers (14-11) have lost five of six.
Shenandoah 95, Ferrum 93: In Winchester, the Panthers were outscored 14-4 in the final three minutes in losing a Dixie Conference game.
Al White sank two free throws with two seconds left to break a tie and give Shenandoah (16-7, 8-3) its victory. Phil Dixon led the Hornets with 29 points.
Michael Hunter (Alleghany) led Ferrum (10-11, 7-4) with a game-high 35 points.
Patrick Henry C.C. 116, Virginia Western C.C. 96: Rod Mitchell scored 26 points to lead six players in double figures as Patrick Henry Community College knocked off Virginia Western Community College in Martinsville. Tremayne McHeimer paced Virginia Western (8-5) with 31 points.
Women
Virginia Tech 66, Dayton 59: In Dayton, Ohio, Michelle Hollister had 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Hokies to an Atlantic 10 victory over the Flyers. The Hokies (8-13, 6-6) won the game at the free-throw line, outscoring Dayton 14-2 from the line in the second half.
Ferrum 87, Shenandoah 81, OT: Kia Williams pumped in a career-high 44 points, including nine of Ferrum's 11 points in overtime, as the Panthers knocked off Shenandoah in a Dixie Conference game in Winchester.
Williams tied the school record held by Missy Smith, who scored 44 points in a game against N.C. Wesleyan in the 1986-87 season.
Williams scored 26 points in the second half and overtime and finished with 11 rebounds for Ferrum (15-8, 9-2).
Emory & Henry 67, Hollins 41: Brooke Duncan led four players in double figures with 12 points as the Wasps beat Hollins. Tonya Holmes (Northside) and Amy Worley (Blacksburg) led Hollins (1-21, 0-18 ODAC) with 11 points each.
Lynchburg 73, Washington and Lee 64: Dawn Gibson led four players in double figures with 18 points as the Hornets beat the Generals. Tonia Dean had 12 points and Allison Hull 11 for Washington and Lee (5-17, 3-16 ODAC).

SIMPKINS SUSPENDED: Duane Simpkins, a senior point guard, was suspended for three games for accepting loans from a former AAU coach to pay personal debts, Maryland officials said.
REJECTION NOTICE: Lakeisha Phifer of St.Paul's tied the NCAA women's record for most blocks in a season with 194. Phifer, a 6-foot-1 freshman from Charlotte, N.C., had nine blocks as St. Paul's lost to District of Columbia 63-60. She also scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
