For most bowlers, rolling a 300 game is the exception.
For Richard Casey, bowling a 300 has become almost the norm.
Casey bowled his 30th perfect game Thursday night at Lee-Hi Bowling Lanes in Salem while competing in the Lee-Hi Roller league.
``I got my adrenaline flowing a little bit,'' Casey said. ``I was beginning to get a little worried, though. I hadn't shot one since October and I thought I was beginning to lose it.''
Casey, 55, who started bowling in September 1964, has rolled so many 300 games he doesn't even get nervous anymore.
``I can remember my first 300,'' Casey said. ``I could hardly feel my legs then and I've learned that the legs are usually the first to go. I guess that because I'm older, I'm more calm.''
Casey finished the evening with a 797 set and almost rolled another 300 game in his last game. He rolled a 277, leaving three pins in the fifth frame.
