          Ferry Bridge juts over the New River in Wythe County. This section, 
          too, will come down as the bridge, built in the late 1930s, is 
          replaced. Construction has begun on a new bridge on the opposite 
          bank, which will carry U.S. Route 52 traffic over the river. In the 
          background is the Interstate 77 bridge. color.
