SHOW HONORS BLACK GARDENERS

Home and Garden Television's ``A Gardener's Diary'' will visit the African-American Chapter of the National Chrysanthemum Society, based at the Williams Memorial Baptist Church in Roanoke, on Monday and Tuesday.

The half-hour cable program will air at 10:30 p.m. Monday and 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Host Erica Glasener will meet Rev. Paul Johnson, pastor of the church, and his wife, Roberta Johnson, chapter president, who will discuss how the 13-member chapter organizes a chrysanthemum show.

Some of the area's best gardeners will share tips on how to grow prize-winning chrysanthemums.
