A Bedford County woman was killed Thursday night when she was run over while apparently trying to jump ontocq - MB the back of her boyfriend's truck.
Deanna Kidd, 29, of Forest was killed in the parking lot of the Graves Mill Shopping Center on U.S. 221 about 11 p.m., Bedford County Sheriff Mike Brown said. The death is being investigated as an accident, he said, and no charges have been filed.
Kidd's live-in boyfriend, Robert Evans, 27, told police that he and Kidd had been arguing, and she had jumped onto the back of the truck twice to keep him from leaving. Evans said he removed her from the truck both times and placed her on a sidewalk.
Evans told investigators that he started to drive away, Brown said, but Kidd apparently tried to jump onto the moving truck and fell under its left rear wheel.
