MOORE, Rev. William Robert, 74, of Greenville, W.Va., died Friday, February 23, 1996. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday, Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, W.Va.

MOOREFIELD, Alice Younger 69, of Gretna, died Friday, February 23, 1996. Funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Arrangements by Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.

PATSEL, Jonathan Michael, of Salem, entered into the presence of God, cradled in the arms of Angels, Thursday, February 22, 1996. Though he was only three months old, he touched the lives and hearts of many. He is survived by his parents, Mark Lewis and Rebecca Brown Patsel, Salem; two brothers, Benjamin Lewis Patsel, Daniel Austin Patsel; one sister, Rebecca Renee Patsel, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Leon G. and Dorothy Brown; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Nola B. Patsel; matermal great-grandmother, Mrs. L. R. Brown Sr.; paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. James F. Patsel; great-grandfather, Maitland B. Walls; numerous uncles and cousins; special friends, Sarah and Roy Martin, Steve and Janet Stump. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 26, 1996, at 12 noon in the Lotz Salem Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Slaughter officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Lotz Salem Chapel. Contributions may be made to the Salem Rescue Squad.

PHILLIPS, Rexie Trenton, (``Rex""), 69, of Route 1, Raphine, formerly of Floyd County, died Friday, February 23, 1996, Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday, Etter-Reynolds Funeral Service, Stuarts Draft Chapel.

REYNOLDS, Andy Minor, 77, of Roanoke, died Saturday, February 24, 1996. Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel.

RICHARDSON, Dwight E., 75, of Rugby, passed away Friday, February 23, 1996 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Va. Born July 9, 1920 at Rugby, Va. to Luther and Bertha Kilby Richardson, he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army. He was a life member of the Grayson County V.F.W. Post #7726, and a retired carpenter and farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Garl Walls, an infant grandson, Elbert Lee Walls, five brothers and one sister. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Reedy Richardson, of the home; daughter, Rhonda Richardson Walls, Rugby; two grandchildren, Joseph G. Walls Jr. Abingdon, Regenia L. Walls, Emory; sister, Edna Sexton, Marion; brother, Wade Richardson, Rugby; three sisters-in-law, Dale Richardson Brown, Jefferson, N.C., Juanita Richardson, West Jefferson, N. C., Gladys Richardson, Crumpler, N.C.; special nephew, Reber Testerman, Troutdale; two special nieces, Rannell Richardson Size more, Grassy Creek, N.C., Janie Richardson McNeil, Jefferson, N.C.; several other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 26, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Mill Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Blevins, the Rev. Phillip Duvall, and the Rev. Audrey Whitlow officiating. Interment in Haw Orchard Cemetery. The body will be moved to Mill Creek United Methodist Church Sunday afternoon, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Rugby Rescue Squad, C/O John Hall, Rt. 2, Box 195, Mouth of Wilson, Va. 24363, or to the Haw Orchard Cemetery Fund, C/O Mrs. Irene Price, RFD, Whitetop, Va. 24292. SLAYDON, Annie Beatrice Carter, ``Bea,"" 91, of Roanoke, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 24, 1996. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Oliver Jackson Slaydon, and her son, Allen Jackson Slaydon, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James ``Jim"" Slaydon and his wife, Joyce, Clifford Slaydon of Roanoke and Dottie Slaydon of Salem; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eleanor and Bobby Garlick and Shirley and Al Day of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren, Tony and Debby Slaydon of Salem, Beth Day Pashley of Roanoke, Becky Garlick of Roanoke, Jeanette and Curt Warwick of Salem, Michael and Sandra Slaydon of Roanoke and Debra Simlick, Glen Slaydon and Coralee Slaydon of Connecticut, and seven great-grandchildren, including Nicole and Cory Slaydon and Morgan Warwick of Salem. Other survivors are her two sisters and one brother, Abby Brown, Marie Cochran and Raymond Carter of Roanoke, and many other relatives and friends. The graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sherwood Cemetery with Dr. J. Michael Palmer and Dr. John Furman officiating. The family will receive visitors at Lotz Salem Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

SLUSHER, Josephine Puckett, (``Jo""), 77, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, February 24, 1996. Mrs. Slusher was a retired bookkeeper from the law firm of Gentry, Locke, Rakes and Moore, and was preceded in death by her husband, Burks D. Slusher Sr. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Burks (``Butch"") Slusher Jr., John W. and Carolyn Slusher, all of Roanoke; her grandson, Scott Slusher; her sisters, Claudine Webber and Nita Carroll, both of Salem, and a sister-in-law, Catherine Puckett of Salem. Funeral services will be held at the graveside in Evergreen Burial Park at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, with the Rev. Carol Johnston officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel after 11 a.m. Monday.

SORRELL, Windom Silas, 71, of Lexington, died Saturday, February 24, 1996. He was retired from Groendyk Manufacturing Company, a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post #93. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stuart W., Sr. and Buna Painter Sorrell, and one sister, Shirley Sorrell Reid. He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Stuart (Toby) and Dorothy Vassar Sorrell, Buchanan; nieces, Betty Sorrell Mullis, Mooresville, N.C., Dorothy Sorrell Middlecamp, Buchanan, Maxine Reid, Lexington; nephew, Toby Wayne Sorrell, Roanoke; great-nieces, Ellen Mundy, Cammie Mundy, Kerri Sorrell, Niki Sorrell, Megan Sanders; great-nephews, Lucas Sorrell, Matthew Middlecamp; special children, J. C. Broughman and Sheila Bankert; special cousins, Nancy Sink and Everett Walker. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 26, 1996, at 2 p.m. at the Rader Buchanan Chapel, with the Rev. Barton Hellmuth officiating. Interment will follow in the Rapps Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

TINSLEY, Isabelle Cassell, 84, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Roanoke, died Wednesday, February 21, 1996 in a Memphis, Tenn. hospital. She was the widow of William Stafford Tinsley, a member of Belmont United Methodist Church and the Virginia Asher Business Woman's Bible Council, and a retired employee of Nolan Company, Roanoke. Surviving are a brother, Joseph F. Cassell, Roanoke; several nieces and one nephew, including Laura Lee Staton, Memphis, Tenn. and Libby Strum, Roanoke. Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday, February 27, 1996 from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, with the Rev. Gregory Moffitt officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday

WALDRON, Norma Collins, 75, of Bent Mountain, passed away at home, Saturday, February 24, 1996. She was loved and will be missed by many. She was predeceased by a husband, William Waldron and brother, Wesley A. Collins. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Elsie and Cecil Wood, Bette and Shirley Yeatts, Cyndy and Don Cromer; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Cheryl Waldron and son, Jeff Waldron. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Mildred Starkey; sister-in-law, Lois Collins; cousin, Lena O'Neal; and lifelong friend, Cassie Fralin; four granddaughters; one grandson and one great-grandson. A graveside service will be held at Restvale Cemetery in Floyd Co. on Monday, February 26, 1996, at 11 a.m, with the Rev. Horace Light officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bent Mtn. Rescue Squad, Bent Mtn., Va. 24059. The family will receive friends at the cemetery 30 minutes prior to services. WARF, Hazel Marie, 65, of Galax, died Friday, February 23, 1996. Funeral 3:30 Sunday, Vaughan-Guynn Chapel.

WITT, Costella S., (``Duck""), 89, of Blue Ridge, died Saturday, February 24, 1996 in a local hospital. He was a lifelong member of Glade Creek Lutheran Church and was retired from the Norfolk & Western Railway's East End Shops. He was also a retired sawmiller and farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Gladys Foutz Witt, and a son, Carlton T. Witt. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, W. M. (Petie) and Mary Witt, Roanoke, Ronnie and Darlene Witt, Blue Ridge, Jean D. Witt, Troutville; grandchildren, David and Debbie Witt, Blue Ridge, Carol and Jim Dyer, Roanoke, Teresa and Bill Arney, Troutville, Kimberly Witt, Glen Allen; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Krisha Witt, William and Jared Arney; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Glade Creek Lutheran Church 1 p.m. Monday, February 26, 1996, with the Rev. Robert J. Maier and the Rev. Guy A. Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Glade Creek Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials be made to Glade Creek Lutheran Church or the Blue Ridge Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
