Justin Counts drove in three runs, two coming on a sixth-inning homer, as Virginia beat Arizona State 7-4 in a college baseball game Saturday.
It was just the third loss in 14 games this season for the Sun Devils, who beat Virginia 17-3 on Friday night in the series opener.
Counts' homer, his second of the year, staked the Cavaliers to a 5-1 lead.
Jason Sekany pitched the final 21/3 innings to get his first save and preserve the win for starter Seth Greisinger (1-0).
Arizona State starter Widd Workman (1-1) took the loss.
